Our Inspection / Condition Survey are carried out afloat and are limited to one day of effective inspection. The service is subject to our clients’ requirements but normally we refer to our Inspection / Condition Survey procedures. Vessels are inspected by one or two members of our staff who have hands on experience in vessels operation both deck and engine.
Our Inspection / Condition Survey report utilizes the guidelines of the most important P&I Club, taking into account and incorporating the betterments of other guiding principles offered by many other P&I facilities, Class Societies, Flag States, etc.. Our surveyors are also ISM Auditors certified by IRCA (U.K.) AND BEST PRACTICE.
Maritimus Ragusa survey methodology includes a visual inspection and usually we cover the following: Summary of survey and condition of vessel, publications and Statutory Certificates, management, records and manning.
Ship structure: External hull and superstructure, anchors, chains, windlass, Ballast tanks, Deck equipment.
Hatch covers, derricks & cranes and holds, cargo equipment.
Engine room, machinery and bunkering, bilges, running hours if the main and auxiliary engines ,bridge and navigation, communications, antennas. Life saving apparatus ,fire fighting equipment . General items, crew accommodation spaces. ISM Items, ISPS Code items, ship and machinery log books, defect list and condition statement
Ship’s plans, Deflection reports, Spares reports, last cargo voyages, etc.
In order to establish the current status regards with present international standards, all statutory documents will be examined and will be included in the final report.
Maritimus Ragusa inspection form has special items to be considered according to the vessel type. Our service includes an special Preliminary Report of Condition, sent by e mail including relevant pictures. This report is sent 24 hours after concluded the Inspection / Condition Survey and final report is elaborated by our staff in about 5 days or as requires.
